Late 18th Century Sheraton Period Mahogany Oval Formed Antique Occasional Tea Table

Lovely example of untouched original Sheraton period occasional table which would have been made for the drawing room or ladies parlour for high tea. The oval formed top decorated with choice curl quartered veneers, crossbanded and edged in boxwood line. Crisply turned supporting stem with hinge hub and quadriform sabre legs terminating in brass toe casters. Never refinished or later stained in 220 years so has achieved a soft faded shade naturally. Beautiful collectors piece of museum standard. Measures 41.5" long x 31" wide.
