Original Regency Period Mahogany Library Table Fitted With Writing Slope
![Image](images/googlestarsreview.png?n=n)
Most interesting library piece from late George III period. Undoubtedly made for the drawing room as a reading and working table but finished beautifully as an aesthetic sofa table format. The solid highly figured Cuban timbers are banded in rosewood and boxwood lined to thumb moulded top over partnered drawers to front and back (one fitted drawer with adjustable writing slope and inkwell). Standing on sabre leg trestle ends terminating in brass toe casters. Has been sympathetically cleaned and waxed retaining all original character inside and out - top quality piece ideal as feature for any period setting and very much usable as a writing desk too. Measures 61" wide open, 40" leaves down, 41" deep and 29" high
