Description
Simply huge Victorian oak dining table with lovely D shaped ends to quarter sawn medullary ray figured top, opening via double winding mechanism and double sandwich hardwood runner system to incorporate the eight additional leaves to any variation in length form 6ft to 20ft. Standing on very finely turned and reeded tapering legs terminating in brass cup casters. Currently polished to a soft honey shade and retaining all character in the timbers. Very impressive piece fit for a stately home! Measures 235" long x 60" wide fully extended.Circa: C.1860
