Description
Magnificent Post Regency period mahogany console end formed sectional dining table with wonderful figured timbers to the moulded edged top. Formed by two end and centre section with extension leaves to offer varying dining lengths. Standing on very fine turned and faceted legs terminating in brass cup caster. This interesting design was to allow for the table to be easily put to the side of the room for the ballroom dancing after dinner. Not something we regularly do these days but this particularly fine example will make a truly elegant statement in any grand room. Measures 192" long fully extended and 54" wide.Circa: C1830
