Of stately home quality this very smart Georgian period break front library bookcase is of excellent proportions and fine lines indeed. A moulded cornice over arched wavy astragal glazed doors retaining their original hand floated glass and enclosing adjustable shelved interior. Base with flanking graduated flights of drawers furnished with brass knob handles and lined in oak. Central secretaire drawer fitted with arcaded pigeons and boxwood trimmed drawers behind leather inset writing surface. Oval panelled doors below and finished with plinth base. Superb flame and mackerel cut timbers, has matured to lovely mellow shade and crisp clean patina throughout, this handsome bookcase truly is of the highest calibre. Measures 250cm wide x 260cm high x 56cm deep
