Description
We have around 3000 antique dining chairs in stock and amongst many large sets of chairs from all periods of history. However, the most elusive are the original 18th Century Georgian examples as they simply have not survived together in sufficient quantities. So very pleased to offer here an original Hepplewhite period set with ogee moulded camel back frames enclosing a pierced splat and relief carved hare bell to the crest. Generous over stuff saddle seats and standing on square formed tapering legs united by H stretchers. These are top end chairs that perhaps 30 years ago would be £10,000 but priced here from as at little more than the cheaply made Indonesian reproduction you will find all over the internet.Circa: C1780
