Description
Superb quality and beautifully fitted walnut desk by famous London makers Maples & Co. Most certainly made as an aesthetic estate desk, rather than office use, this desk has a very smartly fitted pigeon drawer well to the centre and the gadroon rope carved top decends to relief carved panels, heading fluted pilasters through to tapering legs terminating in brass casters. Beaded framing to drawers furnished with pierced brass fan and swan handles. In untouched original condition awaiting your instruction for leather work to top (would be possible to leather the whole top). Measures 153cm wide x 90cm deep.Circa: C1890
