Classic, quality, all original solid oak Victorian table that has survived several generations as a testament to the great skills of the craftsmen employed by wealthy gentry of the period Doubtless they had no idea that 140 years later their products would survive and be the best value furniture available in todays World but such is the pleasure of recycling cultural excellence into our period homes.The top of this table is of super quarter sawn medullary oak with a drop thumb mould and the extensive bank of runners and steel winder still crisp and flat to open and incorporate leaf combination to seat 6 to 20 people in various combination using the extension leaves. For the period the legs are actually quite fine with a vase shoulder relief facet carved and descending to a tapering flute to the terminating caster. Here in its original untouched condition but our price include skilful hand finishing to your exact requirements and this is included in our price. Measures 465cm long x 139cm wide.
