If you search on Google for antique dining tables the images on your screen will be mostly modern plywood reproductions from the Far East, fodder on Ebay and other amateur platforms and quite simply tables that aren’t antiques at all. If you like the look then no harm done but in years to come and those £thousands prove to be worthless that might not sit so well.
