Magnificent exhibition quality octagonal formed oak dining table with quarter sawn solid top inlaid with ebony centre piece, lines and bandings. Exquisitely carved drop apron edge and standing on a simply stunning base formed with central column to platform base and four barley twist supports - all carved profusely with scenes, trapsery and motifs to the very highest standard. Serial number stamped so most certainly made by one of our finest English cabinet makers and quite possibly for exhibitions as such an exceptional piece. Measures 72" diameter.
