Georgian Mahogany Sideboard Large Sheraton 2 Metre Serpentine

Thomas Sheraton implemented refinements and subsequent elegance post the Chippendale period of quite heavy and austere. This large 7ft serpentine formed sideboard features these influences with the qualities you'd expect from a grand dining hall commission of the period. Stepped gallery back inlaid with paterea over the serving surface with bank of frieze drawers below furnished with brass plate oval handles. Flanking cellaret wine cooler drawers and central tambour cupboard, supported on fine tapering legs terminating in spade feet and boxwood inlays and bandings trimming throughout. Very well preserved untouched piece achieving overall a good patina which would benefit a wax prior to delivery. Measures 210cm wide x 100cm high x 65cm deep.
